Hannah and AJ's wedding at Pierce Farm at Witch Hill was off the hook y'all! (<---This is all I've been able to write for the past two weeks because I haven't been able to find the words to accurately describe how freakin' radical AJ and Hannah's wedding truly was.)

And to be honest...I could sit here and write about how amazing the light was and everyone was all smiles and blah, blah, blah...but that's boring. Instead, this time, we're going to switch it up and let Hannah do the talking. As soon as I heard her vows I knew in the back of my head that this had to be their blog post...but it wasn't until I'd been sitting here wracking my brain for days that it finally dawned on me that no words I write will be able to describe this day.

So without further ado, I give to you a letter to AJ from Hannah...

"AJ -

I remember the night of our first date like it was yesterday.

After telling my mom I was going out with the girls, we drove into Boston strolled down Newbury street and through the Common and found ourselves sitting at the Bristol Lounge writing a bucket list on a napkin of everything we wanted to do together that summer before I moved to California. Little did I know at the time that you would eventually drive cross country so we could be together.

That morning after our date in Boston, when I couldn't stop smiling, I told my mom the truth that  I didn't go out with the girls but had gone on a date instead. She immediately guessed it was with you saying she knew there was something there from the moment she first met you.

Well I guess moms are always right

Since that night you've surprised me, distracted me, challenged me, and made me laugh until I cry/snort on a daily basis. And although we share a ridiculous level of sarcasm, a love for pizza, and a good face mask on a Friday night, I’ve also come to realize you're also everything I'm not. You're impulsive, gregarious, a better laundry doer, and definitely a better cook.

AJ, I’ve fallen in love with you over and over again and I still cant believe that today I get to marry you.

I promise to always be in your corner and support you in all you hope to achieve in this life

To speak when words are needed and share the silence when they are not

I promise to try and laugh at your jokes more than I laugh at my own

and always bring you leftovers and order two desserts.

I promise to care for you and share with you all of life’s difficulties and joys knowing together we will build a life far better than either of us could imagine alone

And most importantly I promise to choose you every day and love you unconditionally without hesitation because you will forever be my always

That, ladies and gentlemen, is what I call love. Congratulations Hannah and AJ! You guys are radical beyond words. Thank you for all you've allowed us to experience with you over the past year. We love you guys!!

Willowdale Estate Engagement | Jacqi + Jason

Last week, Jacqi and Jason met up with me in the wee hours of the morning for their Willowdale Estate engagement session.  They travelled all the way from Arizona to spend some time on the east coast and visit the Red Barn at Outlook Farm where they will be getting married in a few months.  Our original plan was to shoot around their home in Tucson but with the madness of wedding season and potential new jobs we decided to squeeze it in while they were in town just to be safe and I’m pumped that we did because the light was incredible!  As we walked along the paths of Bradley Palmer State Park we stopped from time to time to take some posed shots but the majority of our time was spend just laughing together and chatting about their plans for September.  At some point along the way Jason asked if they could change into their “white trash” outfits for a few photos to which I replied, “hell yes!”.  I absolutely love with when couples want to have fun and get away from overly stuffy and posed shots.  The raw, candid moments are what I live for; so any time that opportunity presents itself I jump on it and am hardly ever disappointed.  If anything I feel that it allows me to be more creative and to take a step back and see things for how they are instead of focusing on getting a perfect pose.  And when that happens, we make magic.
